I found an article online which I found really interesting. Scientists from NASA discovered that Mars use to have an ocean larger than the Arctic Ocean on Earth. It spread over a fifth over the surface and held 20 million cubic kilometers of water. The water on Mars was like the water on Earth where it contained 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atoms. However, there was another form of water which contained an isotope of hydrogen called deuterium. Eventually, the Martian atmosphere thinned and caused the normal water to go into space. Mars was also not warm enough to keep the water in its liquid form and it froze. According to the scientists, this is evidence that Mars might have held life.
